419 Scam – Medecins Sans Frontieres reimbursement scam

Medecins Sans Frontieres is a highly respected NGO of doctors who help out in some of the worst desaster areas in the world. That the name of such an organisation would be abused by criminals for a charity scam is utterly disgusting. MSF has no connection to this scam. Below is an example.

November 2005:

Good Day,

I am writing you in respect of the GLOBAL relief agency Medecins Sans
Frontieres Charity Organization reimbursement donors campaign worldwide.

The Organization is refunding back to donors their money out of the
surplus 83 million euros they want to return to all donors who refused the
Charity's offer to redirect their donations to lower profile cases like
Sudan or the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

I am soliciting for your kind co-operation, to act as one of those that
have donated funds to this charity organization and would want his/her fund
return back to him/her so that part of this surplus 83 million euros will be
reimbursed to you for us to share.

Upon your acceptance, reply me through my personal mailbox:
(robert_anderson@accountant.com) for details. And I will send you backing
documents issued to those who donated to victims of tsunami through MSF to
enable the Organization reimbursed you with part of these surplus funds they
are returning. In regards to your agreement with me, I will inform you on
your percentage for your assistance.
